A young exciting up & coming original Indie Band from the seaside resort of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.

Liam Fitzgerald first picked up a guitar when he was told by his teacher that he was failing geography. As a helping hand his teacher advised him to do something else... the only thing Liam could think of was music. After leaving school Liam went on to College & studied for a B-Tec National Diploma in Popular Music, where he learnt a lot about writing music, and he put his writing skills to the test. After writing a few songs, Liam's dream was to perform and hear his songs to their full potential in a band.

Liam's first song was called "Here I Am", reminisce of the classic hit "wonderwall". From then on his writing skills went from strength to strength producing melodic ballads to up-tempo Indie tunes showing a unique sound to keep every music fan interested. With influences changing, Liam's sound soon matured and songs such as "When the Lights Go Out" and "Story of Your Life" emerged, showing a new direction in his song writing.

Ashley Barr, an old friend of Liam's from school, was asked if he fancied playing in a new band, to which he accepted the offer.  Ashley was also asked to search for a lead guitarist to accompany him. Ashley had been playing Bass for about two years, with his own style, Ashley brings an Indie sound to the band .

A few weeks later Ashley found a guitarist by the name of Lee Yang who was on his summer holidays after studying his first year at university. Not having a clue what he was letting himself in for, Lee joined up as the bands lead guitarist. This made the beginning of "Fagan".

Lee, a very talented guitarist, brings brilliantly mastered melodic riffs to accompany Liam's songs that add that extra piece of harmony to enrich Fagan's voice. Lee had played mostly in punk/rock bands but had always listened to Indie from a young age, passed down from his older sister, who was a big fan of the 90's Brit pop scene.

The last recruit to the band was drummer Sean Allston.   Sean was happily playing for a covers band, earning himself some spare cash at gigs. The search was on for a drummer to complete Fagan. It didn't take long before Lee found Sean on Myspace, stating that he was keen to make a career in the music industry with a successful band. It was merely just a week or so before he was on board! Sean had the passion and the belief that he was in a band that could go places...let's hope he's right!

Fagan have set foot around the London area. For an upto date list of their upcoming gigs visit www.myspace.com/thefaganband.
